Adelitas Way Announce Summer Dates With Halestorm

LAS VEGAS ROCKERS ADELITAS WAY
ANNOUNCE SUMMER DATES WITH HALESTORM

Following consecutive tours with Chevelle and Puddle of Mudd this year, hard-rocking road-warriors Adelitas Way are ready to tour the Midwest with Halestorm in July. The band has already shared dates with the likes of Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, Theory Of A Deadman, Breaking Benjamin and Shinedown.

Adelitas Way’s Virgin Records debut album has garnered success with its current anthemic single, “Last Stand”, paving the way to the mainstream. Plus, the group’s explosive first single, “Invincible”, can be heard as the WWE Superstars theme song and has been featured in trailers for the motion picture “The Losers,” as well as on promo spots for CSI Miami.

Led by frontman Rick DeJesus, the band is grounded by native Californian drummer Trevor Stafford and New-York bred bassist Derek Johnston and includes guitarists Keith Wallen and Creighton Bibbs. It isn’t easy to assemble such a diverse crew—with influences ranging from indie-rock to hardcore to classic rock—but it seems to be paying off as DeJesus explains, “It took a while to find this ideal lineup, where we all want the same thing. And everything finally feels right.”

Adelitas Way Team up With Theory of a Deadman For Upcoming U.S. Tour

VIRGIN RECORDS LATEST BREAKOUT ROCK BAND
ADELITAS WAY
TEAM UP WITH THEORY OF A DEADMAN FOR UPCOMING US TOUR

Lead Single, “Invincible” Top 5 at Active Rock Radio

LOS ANGELES, CA – Virgin Records latest breakout rock band, Adelitas Way will join forces with Theory of a Deadman on their upcoming US tour this winter in support of their self-titled debut on Virgin/EMI Music and debuted at <6 on Billboard’s Top New Artist Chart. The tour will kick off in Minneapolis, MN on Monday, January 18 and will include spots in Chicago, Baltimore and Boston.

The album’s kick off single, the power-rock anthem “Invincible,” has exploded on to the charts, scoring them Top 5 record at Active Rock, while racing its way to Top 25 at Rock. “Invincible” has already been tagged as WWE Superstars theme song, heard on the 2009 season of Monday Night Countdown on ESPN and showcased in the new WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2010 Video Game. Since then, the single has been streamed almost 400,000 times on Adelitas Way’s MySpace page (www.myspace.com/adelitasway).

Adelitas Way is fronted by singer Rick DeJesus, who grew up in a rough Philadelphia neighborhood that was ravaged by drugs and poverty. In 2005, he seized an opportunity to move to Las Vegas where he met up with drummer Trevor Stafford. They were later joined by guitarists Keith Wallen, and bassist Derek Johnston when they started to record the album in Chicago and have since added Creighton Bibbs to the lineup. The quintet has since then opened for artists like Chris Cornell, Hinder and Tantric, generating an impressive industry buzz that resulted in their signing with Virgin.

Produced by the Grammy-nominated Johnny K (Disturbed, Plain White T’s, 3 Doors Down), the band’s debut album is filled with hard, edgy modern rock anthems spotlighting the shredding blues style of teenage axe-slinger Iorio and the propulsive, grunge-like drums of Huntington Beach, CA native Stafford, a veteran of Ozzfest band Shuvel. N.Y. bassist Johnston and West Virginia guitarist Wallen bring a combination of indie, hardcore and classic rock influences to the band’s distinctive sound.

Adelitas Way, whose name comes from an unplanned visit to a Tijuana brothel, is currently on tour with Breaking Benjamin. You can check out their first single “Invincible” and other music from Adelitas Way on the group’s MySpace page (www.myspace.com/adelitasway) and at www.adelitaswaymusic.net.

About WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 for the Xbox 360

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 introduces a new Create-a-Superstar Mode, including a fresh look, all-new 3-D parts and improved graphical quality, allowing players to create Superstars and Divas comparable in quality with their in-game WWE counterparts. A new Paint Tool enables detailed creation of tattoos, logos and other unique designs, while a franchise-first Superstar Threads feature lets players create alternate ring gear for Superstars and Divas by customizing the colors of shirts, pants, face paint, elbow pads, boots and more. The game’s Create-a-Finisher Mode has been updated to let players create acrobatic and gravity-defying diving attacks from the top turnbuckle, move their creations to new heights by adjusting the trajectory and take advantage of new moves from the front grapple position.  Taking creativity even further, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 marks the debut of WWE Story Designer. In this new mode, players can create and customize their own storylines and cut scenes, including selection of talent and scene locations, writing their own dialogue, adjusting camera angles, choosing from over 100 scene animations, assigning talent emotions and much more. Players may also construct each night’s show card with matches, unique match stipulations, interference events and other story twists and turns.

WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 empowers players with not only extensive creative freedom but the ability to share their gameplay experiences as well. For the first time in franchise history, the WWE Community Creations interface enables players to upload their creations online, including created Superstars and Divas, story designs, finishing moves, highlight reels and screenshots, and share them with others around the world. Players may also download created content via keyword search engine from other users for use both online and offline. In addition, players can tag their creations with search terms, as well as leave ratings, allowing for ease of use in searching the robust database for the most popular – or even the most obscure – created items. To date, more than 30,000 items have been uploaded to WWE Community Creations via Xbox LIVE.

In addition to its extensive creative and online offerings, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 includes a number of key updates. The WWE Training Facility provides a franchise-first in-game tutorial, making it simple for both long-time fans and newcomers to get helpful gameplay tips and practice moves with their favorite Superstars and Divas. The popular Road to WrestleMania story-based mode returns with interactive cut scenes and six new storylines based on a created Superstar, Mickie James, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels and Edge, as well as a “Brand Warfare” co-op storyline with Triple H and John Cena. In terms of match types, the Championship Scramble makes its WWE SmackDown vs. Raw franchise debut, while the renowned Royal Rumble delivers a revised presentation and more ways to eliminate opponents, including three elimination mini-games and match-specific finishing moves. In addition, a robust talent roster will include more than 60 playable Superstars and Divas, many of whom will make their videogame debut, as they represent the Raw, SmackDown and ECW® brands.

About Adelitas Way
The band name, taken from a frightening band incident that culminated at a infamous brothel/bar in Tijuana. Making the internal external, Adelita’s Way create heartfelt, radio-ready songs, deftly captured by Grammy-nominated producer Johnny K (Disturbed, Plain White T’s, 3 Doors Down). Tunes range from the sexy romp of ‘Dirty Little Thing” to the emotionally charged rock anthem of “Last Stand” to the crowd-pleaser “Invincible,” which, says Rick, has an “‘Incredible Hulk’ feeling. It pumps you up. It’s about our attitude: I’m not going to let anyone stand in the way of my dreams.” In fact, WWE Superstars adopted “Invincible” as its theme song, and anticipation for the July 14, 2009 release of Adelitas Way was bolstered by a tour with Saliva, and “Invincible”’s use on “CSI Miami.” Regional tours and gigs with Chris Cornell, Hinder and Tantric honed the band’s reputation as a powerful live act.
